My partner and I were searching for a dog trainer for our new puppy, a Brussels Griffon. We searched for positive reinforcement training, specifically trainers educated in the Karen Prior method. We found Jan and used her for several sessions over a few months. An experienced and passionate dog trainer by nature, Jan came to our home and helped train our little guy on settling, basic obedience, walking on a leash, and proper interactions with other humans and animals. Jan is warm and friendly, and she interacts with dogs great. She bases her training on the dog’s individual needs; using techniques that are most effective for them. Our dog became so excited to see her each week, and each time she left we all felt more and more confident as we saw the effects the training had. Jan was always available for quick calls, lessons, and emails with questions we had. She did research for us on specific techniques and gave us all homework to practice and reinforce what we learned each week. I highly recommend Jan for your dog training needs. Her extensive experience will surely benefit you and your pooches!
