Let me just start by saying Jan gets a 100+ star review from me! I adopted a rescue from the Humane Society and it was clear when I brought him home- he did not like my dad. I knew something was up so I didn’t waste anytime to find him a good trainer. I am forever grateful to have found Jan! She was a life saver and my hand holder. My little guy, Ferdinand, had a lot of energy, super smart and would bark and growl at anyone who came over to the house. I was way out of my depth of understanding him. Jan reassured me in just our first consultation that all would be ok. She knew exactly what to say to put my mind at ease. She showed up with treats in hand and when Ferdinand barked and growled at her she didn’t flinch and gently worked her training magic. It didn’t even faze her- she was so calm, loving and gentle. After just one session she was able to show my dad and I how to work with Ferdinand. He was a completely different dog after our first consultation. It was amazing! After our second session she had Ferdinand sitting, laying down and twirling. Ferdinand loved it! My dad and Ferdinand never warmed up to each other however, so I had to find him a new home. When I told Jan, she immediately got to work to find the perfect home for my little guy. She even hosted a meet and greet with Ferdinand’s now foster mom. Jan goes above and beyond the call of duty. She is generous with her time, which really helped during those days I was ready to give up. The fact that she was a vet technician is amazing as well- an added bonus for sure! Sincerely, with my whole heart- I recommend her. If you are on the fence let this be a testament to you- do not hesitate to hire her- you and your dog will benefit from her expertise and have a better life and partnership for it!
